The air I am
Staring out the window in a fixed haze. Then lines blend as the mind focuses on the background and the eyes just faze out. Disappearing the foreground to the one piece of the middle mass entertains the eyes.
A loss inside the moment. Just breathing and existing. Not feeling anything. Listening to the music as the words roll inside my ears. The sounds of wind outside finally chills me. Losing me inside the floating of leaves.
So long gone from the area. The fade has begun and the thoughts rumble inside of me. Letting go of the emotions and hoping that they become invisible once more.
A hope.
Drawing my focus face away from the window. Then I realize the redness I saw was an enhanced orange utility flag. The leaves are dancing but the branches are stationary. The mind unwinds and the memories fall back. That like paper against the wind. Falling and blowing free.
So there I go once more again. Fading into the landscape before me. The feeling of being a part of the air. The need to be lifted. To be able to dance across the sky. Only now the wind just pushes me across the scattered green patches. I tumble and twist.
Finding that the dance I so desired is just that beginning of a storm.
The mind follows and is ready to be engulfed. A small sigh escapes my lips. I awaken from my stare. The gaze falls back to the parchment before me. As the song I longed to hear, enters my mind and ears. Evanescence "Missing".
Listening and finding myself once more.
