Good morning
To wake up with the heat upon my back and the coolness upon my face. Good morning.
The light aroma of crisp air and strong cinnamon. The hellos of this morning come to grab me hard.
Yet I do not awaken fully. I sit up and I watch the darkened night slip into a light and lighter day. No sunrise to decorate my window pane. Still the opening of the day is grand.
Long enough to enjoy the solitude. No one else awake but perhaps the cat.
My eyes release tension and my lungs express a deep yawn. My soul stretches and I sit deciding whether to get out of bed or roll over for more sleep.
Who is to know when my mind is so alert.
No need for the questions left in dreams, to weigh upon me. And the people inside either. It is sad when dreams bring up people who are no longer in your life. Yet I had several smiles.
As the chill sets in the decision is made. And soon my soul is curled back into a ball. Pleading not to dream of them again. Then relaxation takes over.
Pauses happen here. Wake to write a line. Then dozing. Another line given and then dreams entertain me.
Another side of me explored.
Good morning I say. Now back to sleep. Curled on left side and gone.
