Just the way I needed
Today went from blah to meh and back again. The way the day just sucked in the worst way but just saying hi was a changing factor.
Yet still today wasn't my shining day. The parts where I find the glimmer in the hope. Today was the day where I begged someone to show me the hidden light.
And someone did. Just by waving hello.
These moments traded are what made meh and blah disappear. Even though it was a fleeting second or minute. It was enough to help the tears fall. Enough to make the soul unwind.
Simple moments like that keep me going. Just as weird as the day had to get. Still was part of that time that fell away from me.
Peace. My calm returning.
Then good night echoed inside of me. Didn't need to talk anymore. The lasting light held me close. That was all I needed.
So enjoy those treasures.
