Withdrawn
A slow withdrawal to the night. I have become so soft and now the eyelids beg to close. Yet the rage inside the thundering mind says not yet.
And so I blink and yawn to escape the next rolling wave of sleepiness. A slight smirk rests across my pale lips. The cold ice bag on top of my head trickles icicles into my brain. Only the slightest jaunt of precarious notions echoes inside me as I slowly inhale. Coolness is felt even in my jawline.
I needed this alongside the bath. The necessity to push my pain from soul to outside air. Mind over matter rings true here.
Time settles and so does the stomach. Yet all that pinches still deserves a leaning pillow soon. A warm hug that unfolds my senses. Indeed I will gain that moment in a dream underneath covers of white down.
A nice completion of the night. Soon all will be done and the eyes can finally fall closed. Entertaining a speckled darkness with images is color and light. Indeed the best way to find calm.
No more hints of stretching muscles nor that of pinching nerves. Just the inhale and exhale of the even slumber.
Dare I contain my excitement? No. By far I am ready for the day to be complete just as it is now three minutes passed midnight.
Yes time to close in. Say my prayer and hold tight to the goals and hopes I soon will find.
So say hello to me in your dream because I will do the same.
