Soothing aromas

When you go back through the day and say your thanksgiving before bedtime, the sleep engulfs you so fast.

The aroma of menthol Vicks soothes the mind to straighten the pulls of tender strings within your stomach. A final part of the day that allows you to be grateful of all the experiences that lay here.

And when the mind eases from the pounding aches the slip of dreams erupt within fragile walls. An odd day for sure but changes, once again, have to be made.

The smile still shines on pale pink lips. The night brings exhales deeper. Then the caution is felt with grand pressure.

Yet all I can say is I am thankful for the day of lessons. The tears. The reconfirming of life decisions and the push of achieving the dreams.

Right now the soul is exhausted and the mind is slowly dragging the pain from temples and crown out through the drums of ears. Indeed it is felt, this intense pressure.

And one more time, inhale and exhale. Another day was given. Now time for rest. Time to ease the stomach rotations. Time to step where love surrounds me thoroughly.

A memory of kind friendships.

Indeed that is where I leave off for the night. Not dwelling on the time gone but certainly hoping for another few years. To tackle one my surviving battle.

A kind hope.  And all is possible in prayer, faith and love.

Be grateful.
