Curled in bliss
My night faded and became morning. I fell asleep curled inside a ball in my chair. One hand was The German girl, curved beside me was my blanket and the television blared Flushed Away.
Waking at four thirty and just stumbling around was peaceful. Cotton mouth from drinking coffee before bed. Brushing my teeth first thing on the list. Then more warm covers.
I slipped right back to sleep, this time in a cocoon of down comforters. And a nice collection of dreams woke me the second time. Friendships to be rekindled. Nights full of laughter and finally owning my own bit of earth.
This is what I look forward to in the year to come. These moments where nothing but joy is found.
Every step this morning was routine but the dreams said no. They were of great memories. Times I look forward to remaking.
With that it is a good Sunday. Bundled under my blanket enjoying a nice cup of coffee. Ready for the day to slip on by. Just relaxing and taking hold of what is left of my joy.
Simple parts of a day can be so extraordinary. So I invite you to do the same. See the beauty in the ordinary, mundane steps. Stop to laugh and cherish.
And find your peace and comfort either by yourself or with those you love.
As for me, after my spiritual food I will work on my art. Tomorrow brings a day of lots of postings. So best get started countdown begins.
I am so excited. Each day closer to home is bliss.
