Biggest win
The highest decision today was whether make a cake from scratch or just buy a box and spruce it up. Win win is the blessing. I still get a cake and one of my favorites. Chocolate fudge with chocolate chips and vanilla icing.
Brings back memories when my grandmother would ask if I wanted a chocolate one or butter one. Indeed while the sweet aroma wavered throughout the house we made pillow forts and construction paper lanterns. Then had ourselves a tea party. Gloves and all.
Significance in a moment. I sigh, smirking over the messes we made on our cloth napkins and all the outrageous giggles that erupted. So much to have my grandfather barge in to inquire on the lovely ladies and stealing away a cupcake or cucumber sandwich.
Still the smile lights up my eyes. All that from just baking a cake.
Today I decided on have vanilla icing with coffee intertwine and mini chocolate chips sprinkled about. Indeed how can I not just find ways to giggle.
So childish and yet joyful.
Seated here not worrying about yesterday. Taking today in stride even though I was unable to go to my spiritual assembly. No transportation. Yet I did gain my calm with Jehovah. He and I a re working side by side with the situation.
So here I wait, reading a good, memorable book and for the chicken timer to ring. Then to let cool. In time icing and sprinkling the mini chocolate chips around on top.
Simple parts of life. With that I leave you with a smile. For that is the true gift I can give you.
Hug those you dare to love and remember tomorrow is something you cannot predict. So live every second as though it is their last.
Hugs to my friends.
