Encourage yourself too
As many times as we bite at ourselves for things we have done wrong when do we give encouragement to ourselves?
So many times we sit with heaviness inside ourselves for the losses and the grave changes of disgust within. Yet we don't seem to turn around and look at the unbroken parts of ourselves.
Why do we dwell on those things inside ourselves? Why do we keep harping over how we could have changed it?
Nothing can take back the time but what we can achieve now is looking over those times not as grave digging experiences but as uplifting turnarounds.
I know that is easier said than done but just try one experience. Then each day becomes another one. It can either teach us or we can make it kill us. Why are we our worst critic instead of our best friend?
Why do we sit and take all these notes to improve ourselves without even taking the moment to look at ourselves. Being happy with what we see in the mirror. Certainly there are characteristics we don't like and want to get rid of but what about all of those good parts?
We don't ever seem to be content in ourselves. I am sure many would say that isn't true but can you list more than 10 things you love about yourself? How about 20 or even 50? Probably not. Often times the things we want to change outweighs the good.
But we stand inside circles and uplift millions or just few. Yet what would it take for you to say something kind about yourself?
Thoughts to ponder over.
Many parts to consider. Many pieces to improve. And yet just start right this minute and say one thing you like about yourself.
Me? I love my silence.
In many ways that can be such a negative view but I love the way I can sit in silence. Being capable of being content of no noise and tons of imagination and thoughts.
That is just one thing about me I like, love.
Now it's your turn.
Tell yourself why too. And feel the bounce in your step. Smile.
Because even though we can uplift many we can be cruel to ourselves. No that isn't right. So lean into understanding who you are and being comfortable with it. THEN make the changes.
For once the view of self changes then so will the circle.
I have been there.
