You remembered what I love
A small circle of flowers
I build. One petal at a time falls
to the earth. A little song I sing.
Some know it. Some have sung
it themselves.
Pick a petal one by one in
a distant hope. Still a hope, nevertheless.
Carried to make chains. Overlapping
colors and stems of green. One by
one it litters the earth.
A joy spreads through as
the wind picks up colors. Swirling
in air. Comforting the eyes of
a rainfall.
Soothing the senses, the soul.
Such happiness. So much inner
peace.
All because someone remembered
how much I love daisies.
