My morning hug frozen in air

Oh how I enjoyed my sleep. Waking up to no alarm
just absolute inner clock. Darkened morning light, I
step outside to breathe. To hold onto the happiness
and surprisingly serene moment.

Hear my breathing. Deep and relaxing. Prepping
for hectic day of activities.

Pressing self closer to the railing as I lean over
to experience the outside but not actually being in
it. Closing eyes to soak in the coolness. Cold
weather weaves under the fleece jacket to the
thin cotton nightgown.

Yes I stepped out into world in night clothes
because I couldn't wait to feel the air, to breathe the
wonders of my morning.

Hair in disarray from peaceful sleep. Just wanted to
feel the rush of the blackened sky upon my face,
my skin. Feet bare, now freezing. Time to go back
inside. Noticing how ridiculous I look. Silly nature
girl.

Back inside I run. To await the piping hot water
trickling into my mug. An herbal eye opener. A tea of
cinnamon, cardamon and ginger bring my senses
alive. Prepping me for a grand waterfall of dead sea
salts, carrots and melon with hints of citrus.

Warmth engulfs me. Steam rises to curl cinnamon
strands around my flushed face. How happy I am
when I look at self. Smiling, recalling. Close eyes to nod
to agree that the memory that drifted into sight was,
still, just as memorizing as I remember.

Opening eyes, deep slated blue framed by
olive ovals, sparkle. Tiny glimmer of tears court
the soft brown lashes.

Brazil nut and cocoa butter helps moisture stay
on paleness and draws senses to a peaceful
beginning, relaxing soul.

Placing uniform to cover freckles. Choosing
outrageous socks to brighten day from the angry
moments. To be able to laugh off the imperfections
of others, taking no offenses.

A few more minutes to relax before an exit and
pressing on into a workday. I place melodies to
prepare. Checking and double checking that I have
all that is needed for this day.

Walking out the doorway. Ready for the day.
Stepping outside once more, I inhale deeply.
I smile.

Going to car I look up to hope all is good. Giving
a silent thanks to Jehovah for a grand morning, for
him to take care of me and everyone I love. Yes,
you are included. So make sure you enjoy just
a few minutes of the grand nature that Jehovah
provided.

Yes that includes stepping outside, to breathe
icy air. Absorbing deep into lungs. Yes it is a must.
Feel the happiness I experienced from just being
outside.

Then give thanks to Jehovah that you too could
have joy from freezing temperatures.

I smile just knowing that there is a chance you
gave thought of me, that you actually do as I ask.
I hug you as the air wraps around you.

            Did you feel it?

(This was about my sister, however it is no longer possible to hope that today she would breathe as I asked her too. So brothers and sisters who have grown into my life I hope you take a moment to breathe the air whereas she cannot.)
