Morning light
Ah morning light embracing a darkened sky.
Pressing sleepy eyes awake.
Yes dawn is appearing and many rush to crunch
too many activities together. Heading full force into
fits of anger when time slips by way to fast for their
liking. Causing them to eliminate a few morning
routines to attain goal of arriving to destination a few
moments early.
Step back for just one moment, a few minutes.
All I beg of you. Step back. Take the stress and
anxiety off your shoulders. Placing the weight onto
Jehovah, God.
Never forget that he helps us see clearer when
we have faith and trust in him.
Ah glancing out window I now notice the hints
of green and lighter shades of blue prepping the
sky for grand, radiant bursts of orange, reds, pinks
and yellows known as the sun emerging.
Even now I see cars rushing by. Slow down.
Speed limit is contained and marked for a reason.
So many already late to traffic jams around the city.
Grateful that I can meander downstairs and
enjoy jaunt outside, a little bit later.
Only sadness that crinkles my forehead is that
must acknowledge Jehovah's palette of sunlight
through a window instead of breathing in outside.
My hair still wet and my health is important. Oh well.
At least I still get to experience the beauty in the
painting Jehovah is creating for all.
So what, I ask, would make you slow down for just
a few moments? A tickle in the wind caressing your
name across a window pane? Or would a dare make
you step outside to enjoy the crisp morning air?
So yes, what would it take for you to enjoy the
day as I plan to? Hmm
