Remembered a time

  Flower petals float to my
toes. Tickling my foot as I
walk.

   One heel to the next. Oh
a smile shines bright upon
my high, freckled cheekbones.

  Vibrating, throbbing are
thoughts. Aching for a
moment to exit. To open
a phrase.

   Hear, taste the memory
I feel as I close my eyes. The
softest, lightest laugh. Oh how
the moment passes so
fast. Seconds turn to
decades and water flows.

   A time to remember.
A song, a flash of lightning.
A story, strong
energizing to core.

   My senses are overwhelmed
as I take deep breaths.
Inhale. Exhale.

   Oh how I say hi once
again. Hold me.

   Dancing. So happy.
Close my eyes. Hold self tight.
   Silent melody I hear.

    Your voice, I smile.
        I miss.
