Remember my child like heart
Careful of the fall. Not wanting to
shed tears yet the memories beckon
my eyes to draw watery lines.
Taking me back to the
red rover, hide and seek and tag.
Moist, echoing breaths on glass.
Guessing a path on grass dew.
Whispers that speak loudly
amongst the petals, on the raindrops.
Laughter that opens the air.
Tiny fingers playing sweet melodies
in the wind.
Oh how little feet pound
on hard wood floors. Coveted on
puffed wool.
Tents of colorful fabric and
heavy tapestry, furniture.
Dancing round and round
until all fall down.
I smile. Small changes
of blue to gray. A sparkle.
See my words sprinkled
on restricted blank space.
Read me, remember me.
I hold you here, near.
In my heart, memories.
