Good night, wake me at dawn
Noises crack loud inside me.
Vibrate down to my bones.
Oh how sleep calls to me.
The night calms me.
The warmth of rain, covers
shelter me.
Time to close eyes for
some soothing waves of
colors. To explore memories,
to release anxieties upon
Jehovah.
How wonderful to wake from
a stressfree slumber, I look
forward to this.
Lay down my soul and rest
my mind. Swallow my
deep, even breaths. Counting
to slow rhythms of my heart.
Crickets sing me to sleep.
Night folds over and I
curl into a ball. Enjoying
the cocoon of cloth and
warmth.
My day has ended. So shall
I empty thoughts and just
wander until the early blues
and pinks beckon my
soul, my eyes to become
alert once more.
