Daisy walk
A moment.
I stand tall yet I am
able to bend, like the water.
I mold deep, create,
adapt.
My tears blur the sky
blue to darkest stormy night.
Distance I look to see the
truth.
To hold onto all that I have
learned. To wave, to waver
yet stains I build.
Carry who I am to new
levels. Oh how there are moments
I fail, fall.
Still seeing a smile brightens
my spirit. Contagious is the
encouragement that echoes
from words.
Life lessons strain, pull at the
heart but the reality opens the
mind. Obtaining, applying what
is now known, I walk forward.
Still I do stop and wonder. This is
where prayers, nature and friends
prove to me, say, help me over
the past. The memory to asborb
that happiness within all that
was wrong.
I stand here holding a daisy
in peace.
Someday it will be taken. Some
day time erases the hard, rock,
stone of heart.
Until then greet my tears with
encouraging words, Scriptures and
walks.
