A memory to smile, to hope

Something I wrote a few months ago. Kind of a strengthening poem to get out of low moments. :)

   Curtains fall down. The
show is over. Back up and move on.
The dust follows. Just wipe off.

  Careful treading softly over the
crushed leaves, earth. Gently allowing
the rain to wash away the past.

  Twirling hair in the wind.
Paths cross. Not once did the glance
up appear. Focused on what is in
next destination.

  Close eyes. Enjoy slowing
of the thunder in my heart. Pounding
in my ears. The water sheds upon
my face.

  Remember the memories. A cool
caress of the leaves, the wind, the snow.
Ah how words appear and want to
tickle my thoughts, my tongue. Yet
silence sprays across my soul, my eyes.

I want to smile, to see the right.
Still I want a chance to hold all those
who once were mine to hold, family.
Ah how times I want the memory to
fade.

Open the door to tomorrow with a
prayer of hope. Someday, somewhere
time, Jehovah, will allow me complete
happiness.
