Ducky rainy days
Breathless I am, racing, pulling
to the top. Just to look down, sliding.
Such joy I have. My smile.
Oh how I love the slick rain.
Pouring down my head, neck
pooling at my feet.
Squishing sounds thrust
between toes. Imitated toads, frogs.
Sights of tadpoles in shallow
ponds. Tiny puddles that beckon
a pounce. Dare I, I ask?
YES!
Laughter peels out in the
air. My eyes sparkle deep blue gray.
Strong, deep howls from others
as I race to the next water
collection.
Silly, they call me. How
else can I be me? I love rain, puddles
and waterfalls. Who doesn't?
Sheer, clean is the downpour.
Over and over are flashes.
Smile at me because I am
a funny duck on a rainy day!
Would you like to join me?
