Fireflies in my youth
Soft whispers echo on the
night air. Laughter, giggles rolling
thunder upon the earth.
Children running. Climbing.
Hurling bodies in sparkling, firefly
breeze.
Open a hand to see a small glimmer.
Oh how sweet smiles wave deep inside.
A tiny voice vibrates throughout.
Oh I remember, I see. The memories
tickle my mind. I shiver with
decandant peels of joy.
Oh to swing arms, squeeze tight.
Hmm deep breaths, I call to self.
Aware of the radiant moonlight and
happiness.
Oh hold tight to the sweetest, softest
memory of youth.
Fireflies. Dandylions. Rolling, running
in fields.
Mmm. I hug you once again.
Miss you sis.
