My colors

   What are my colors?

   Gray, red, turquoise
brown and copper. Color
   my rainbow such in
bright shades. Darken only
with deepest charcoal.

   Hold tight my eyes. I
say my prayers to end the
nightmares. The ones that
repeat over and again, all
in one setting.

   Blink, breathe. Blink,
breathe. Now safe from
horror. Only a story, not a
memory.

  Alive. Strong. Careful.
Deplete the hatred. Pray with
  me to end all that
wants to harm.

  Bright colors wave in
the air. Soft wind caresses
  my hair, my cheek.

  Coolness calms the
mind. Close eyes and
  comfort me now,
      Jehovah.
