Patterns

Steps draw a pattern in the sand. Holding form
until the next wave. Deeply planted into my memory.

Laughter echoes into the air. Softly caressing
those ears of all who listen. Transforming a silence
into a smile.

Ah thoughts whisper across my mind. Entering
loud voices through the open breeze. Down onto
paper the note, the poem is fixed.

Softly the hopes open great possibilities
because Jehovah heard them in a prayer addressed
to him through his son, Jesus Christ. A distance
one will travel to make changes for just one hope.

I have done just so. Yet so much is in transition.
Still I do fall short on some key points. They are
projects Jehovah and I are working on.

Yes there are moments when all I need is
the Bible, the Scriptures. Other times there is a must
of company. My spiritual brothers and sisters, just
seeing that we all are imperfect and still Jehovah
loves us.

The best news for me to hear is that of
a brother or sister who also had either the same
trial or something similar. Their words are those who
encourage me further.

So simple as a hello, a wave or even a text.
Just something out of the blue. So much helps. So
small is the gesture of kindness. A hug, a laugh and
words of praise. Even those who refer me to their
current or favorite Scripture.

All helps. Such a joy in these hopes of friends.
Everyday one sibling help guiding me one way or
another. Holding a prayer or a thought of me.

I know all my family is held close. Deep are
the memories. Even deeper digging are the new
ones to replace those of old. New solid beginnings
to take hold, to cherish.

My only question is that of old rings. Shall I
return to the earth or start a new with these and any
of those I gain? To build something a bit more delicate
this time? A firmer, tighter finer weave?

Hmm one by one a step pushes forward. So
where will I place my foot next?
