A stargazing dream
Clutching a moment that is just mine. A smile
that is just for me to hold. Holding tight are the
memories. Tiny are the steps I am taking to stand
tall and clear.
Ah freshness of air covers my soul. Gently kissing
all pale parts exposed. Softly little goose bumps
appear as the tickling of my skin erupts.
Did you inhale?
Cautiously I lean back. Arching. Flexing my soul
in preparation of climbing stairs. Joining in company
inside a room of haze.
Ah to sleep outside under the stars tonight. Just
as I have done in childhood. To feel the wind playing
melodies across my face. Lay there listening to the
talk of insects as they too enjoy the evening sky.
Ah perhaps a bit silly for a dream. Yet I still dream
it. Still a hope that the random roll call of allergies
seated around me disappear.
So dear friend laugh with me as I realize reality
can ground any dream. Still it doesn't steal the hope.
So please if you will grace my eyes once with a
view of a bit of scenery in the darkening sky.
