Last call for words tonight
One lasting call before the eyes drive soul to sleep.
Hmm. Slowly the mind begins the trails to halt.
Becoming a fading cloud of white fluff.
Ah open the sights to softness. Words that echo,
trickle down into the mouth become alert. Stating
their last will of testimony upon parchment and
electronic airwaves.
Shh the mind states to the quivering pains
throbbing in temples all the way to the grumbles
of a hungry stomach.
Alas I should allow the sleepiness to overtake me
so that the solid six hours will be fullfilled. Hmm.
Still the soul is jumpy. Perhaps the need of soft
murmuring and slow breathing. Hmm what do you
say?
Sifting through the last of importance of the
early morning, late late night. Yes much is beckoning
a voice yet I place into a hold pile.
Sleep then conquer. One mountain upon another.
I will consume each task when I awake later.
Softly I say my good nights to friends and family.
Gently placing all into a prayer. Silently giving thanks
to Jehovah for being their for me. Also to my family
of brothers and sisters around the globe, a small
form of gratitude to the prayers. I hug you all.
So now turning off the lighting around house.
Waiting for the feet to move. Stepping down hallway
my face is caressed by a big cheesy grin.
There before me is comfort my soul is begging for.
Big bed with warm covers. Ah sliding between sheets
and coverlet, I whisper one last hope to Jehovah.
Then off my glasses are and down my lids fall. Over
soft cornflower blue eyes.
Yes. Good night until the six hours arrive following.
Hmm. Good night dear friend. Sleep tight.
