Distances of greatness
Such a long day. Processes and proving I am
worthy of supporting many and one. Ah how the
wind from the windows calm me. Pull me through
this time.
Holding onto my need of Jehovah. Not pressing.
Just opening the eyes for brighter absorption. So
much is falling. So much is here. Holding, supporting
all that is necessary.
One step at a time. Focusing on the silence of
wind and whispers of birds. Oh how soft the kisses
are from Jehovah. The words from the Scriptures that
help pull me together and through mucky waters.
Still so much more is trying to weigh upon me.
All I ask is Jehovah presses me tightly within his arms.
Placing my heavy gears outside to spin.
One historic event at a time, closed. Oh how I am
grateful of my learning. The lesson of patience,
kindness and love. How else can I be what Jehovah
wants of me in this time of chaos?
Sitting here waiting for decisions to land straight.
Hoping to escape into a world of laughter. Anything
to pull the soul, the spirit from dispair.
A silent nod to agree. A vocal no to change a
way of thinking. A secret moment in the darkness of
a hallway to allow tears to pour. Ah how I am
strengthened with Jehovah.
Not only do my tears fall for the man gone but
that of those left in the world uncertain of the Truth
of Jehovah. The sadness I hold for them. Pressing
all into Jehovah's hands I sit still listening.
One by one the Scriptures are placed into my
eyesight. Bright blues are scanning the encouragement
given. Sweetness that pushes me up.
Softly I whisper a saying my father used to say.
Holding still for a moment to recall when he last said
it in my ears. Oh the comfort of a small laugh.
Still sighs escape in a room of chatter. Empty ears
long enough to understand conversation. Still an
echo fall down. Once the words lost all are choking
my voice. Halting upon my tongue.
Hope is there. I know that. Sorrow is seen but
strength overrides all. One lift of a prayer. So say
hello from far away. A flower of love to make a
quirky woman shine brighter. Carefully I hope big
for a smile I can only see in a memory.
Dear friend send a regard. Silently whisper a
prayer to pull me up. Say your words into the cooling
night air. Hold tight and laugh loud for me.
Please just once so I can hear from distances
great.
