It's really nice to sit down after my meeting and discuss with my mother what really impacted me. To sit and discuss areas that I really hadn't thought about. Then to have my mother's input.

Also just to converse with her to see how she understood the scriptures. Even more so was the question of how far back was the significance of baptism. My mother was curious how long they had been using the water purification.

Interesting that I didn't overpower her with right and wrong way of saying things. Just listened.

Then we discussed the part in Mark about where Jesus expelled the demons but made it so they couldn't speak.

This was an area that she had not thought of, Jesus didn't want the demons to say anything even the chance of saying who he was. He wanted people to build their faith through heart inclination. Not based on what someone said.

That really gave her a new perspective on that scripture.

I was just grateful for being able to discuss my spiritual joy with my mother. For me the tiniest of sparks mean the most.

I can't expect anyone to understand me but this is one thing I didn't enjoy before. And now I am thrilled.
