Awestruck
Still seated in awe of night but in a different
setting and different clothes. I am in such awe of the
meaning of tonight and the people surrounding me.
Most of all is by the people I didn't even think knew
my name. Also the smiles I received and gave in
return.
Listening, indeed. Reading and ever surprising me
once more. Again something done so well.
Still shocking for me to know that I can talk to a
dear friend via a poem. Words are heard. Still would
love to hear a voice but can only hope some day
down the line. Whispers that echo my name.
Once again grateful that the following day time
hours are mine to claim. My favorite coffee shop is
on agenda, a Bible study and then whatever after.
Ah me time.
Now relaxing into the closing hours. All nearing
midnight. Still I cannot sleep because of an afternoon
nap. Eating pizza, drinking tea and reading a good
book (The Art of Hearing Heartbeats by Jan-Philipp
Sendker).
So dearest friend I hope you too enjoyed yourself
this evening. I still am giddy over a response of not
one nor two but three smiles given to me. Ah. Hmm
yes breathing is a good thing, right?
Even now as I enjoy my book I am still smirking.
Perhaps a little too much in vain but I feel amazing
that you do read, you do listen. Had I known all along
maybe I would have curbed some other poems.
(Feline tendencies)
Stretching. Now curling back into ball and getting
back to my book. Still one question does pop into
head: would you ever meet for a coffee someday? La
just a thought that covers my mind at moment. La
and no need to really ask.
So dear friend of mine take care. Get some rest
for tomorrow is a new day with an abundance
of open opportunities waiting to happen. So grab
hold and enjoy.
