Words say

Tiny drops of water vibrate through
my mouth and down my throat.
Slicing the air and nerves in my ear.

Thunder roars its angry loud voice
as I cry. Rain pelts my skin to a
bluish hue. I stand still needing just
one look of warmth. I close my
eyes to remember that love exists.

Careful of who sees because all
watch. I am silent and listening.
Observing the ones that teach.
Opening mind to understand the
written words they speak, as
Truth as it is known.

Little by little, phrase by phrase
I am peeled away showing rough,
blank canvas waiting for right
colors to lather across. To feel
all being applied and dried deep
within my core, right down to
my spirit.

Words say sentences but it is
our hearts that learn the wisedom.
These lines : Scriptures. Many
stories, revealing outcomes and
songs given all that is needed
faith and hope.

I hear my heart beating fast.
My spine gets chills as the realization
appears. Applying all that is understood
to me.

Lightning hits and alert I stay.
Pray, I do for safety.

  Do you?
