Mistakes that were lessons
Letters walk across a lifetime.
Words that echo the memories.
Time stood motionless for a moment.
I lean inside to grasp, to recall
your face. A smile creases over my
face. Oh how I was grateful knowing
parts of you.
One day at a time I walk forward.
My heart may hurt but my mind,
my love of Jehovah guides me. Every day
I want to stop but I must not fall.
Before all those reels decide to
auto rewind, I need to exit, leave
it behind me.
I want to look back and be grateful
for my lessons learned. Not to feel extreme ache
knowing I was foolish for my mistaken sins.
written in March sitting in my congregation Hall thinking about some things that were making me cry.
