Hard rain

Pelts and pelts of hard rain slam against
my face. Standing in the field in amazement.
Still stunned by the words spoken.

Only a need. A desire to be heard.
To hear. Only one beating heart against a
thousand crickets. How can one be
alone yet still not?

Oh the questions never cease. The
learning increases each second. Words may
be silent but the mind always in full gear!

Does the world stop when we crash to
our knees in disbelief? No. Does our
emotion halt the waves turning in the
deep, wide blue? No.

   Follow what is true.

The drops, even though they sting,
make known that we still exist. That we
still breathe.

Ah, I sigh my huge relief knowing
that whatever truly makes me tremble will
be given back in strength. Jehovah knows
I ask of help.

My silent prayers growl through the
clouds.

Yes I asked for rain. Something to calm
me in this unnerving night.
