Radiant in weakest
Distances seem not far enough
if I can still remember you. If I can
still recall all that was said.
Was anything real to you? Was
life always a lie for you?
Drag me through the dirt. Uplift the
dust that made me. Grovel. Beg because
you won't ever see that of me.
Walk forward, tears streaming
down my face. Downward my eyes are
yet I have learned, remembered the
truth I told you. Guess that was
not good enough. I shake.
Know that there is no more, there
is better. Not caring to wonder about
them. Not searching for them.
I am wandering, searching for
me. Lost but not alone. Standing strong
on a solid foundation with an
increasing, incredible family.
Laughing as I see a squirrel,
a flower brightens my senses. Reminding
me there is beauty everywhere. Make
sure I give thanks.
I am radiant even in my
weakest times, desperate moments. I
know how to pray.
I hope you can too.
