I sit

Do you want to understand me?
Do you want to hope goodness?

        My mind taunts those questions
over and over. Only if words would cease.
Just time. All will see though.

I crawl deep. I call out to all
who listen. I am me. Talk to me.
Listen to what you are reading.

      Can you hear my laughter?
Can you see my smile wavering in
the heat? Oh look you may find.

      Secrets, layers of me. Emotions
I rather not show spray across
lined parchment.

     Yesterday I cried hard. Tears
stained the blue ink. Turning
pages to a watery mess. I quiver to
know so many believe that
I lie. That I hide.

What not to hide. None have
shown truth but Jehovah..

Not alone. Some days I see.
The air opens and clouds downpour.
The world circulates. I wait.

     I sit and listen.
       Writing and learning.
           Observing great joy and beauty.
