A greeting of warmth
Softly waiting for the heart to slow the pumping
so the enjoyment of a breathtakingly warm day
can be greeted.
Seated here inside my car just listening to the
birds talking. Oh how simple life is, yes? I sit watching
the wind press the leaves back and forth. I enjoy
the heat growing hazy across my window.
Oh the calming sense I have seated here.
Oh the waiting, prolonging the time before I must
begin the walk up the staircase, to set my red
shoes inside a smoky doorway.
Breathing. Calming. Aware of the breeze blowing
across my face. Soothing me in the gentlest ways.
Yes I thank Jehovah for showing me this amazing
day. I thank him for the joy that bursts from within.
Out shining the bright colors decorating a pale
form.
Oh were you happy today, dear friend? Were
you grateful for the show of love received thus far?
I know I am. Quirky Mary. Stationary I am, just
for the moment.
I close my eyes to absorb the warmth of the day.
Not in any hurry to get inside. Yes I know some are
but I am not. Were you?
Perhaps sticky clothes are not appealing but the
love of creation overtakes anything. Just inhaling the
beauty.
Are you?
