So I hear
Hold back a tear. Hold back the
memories. Just place rolled acetate film
in a secure spot.
Time heals, so I hear. I have been
told that tiny glimpses into a shiny
black and white photo eventually fades
the hurt.
Oh how lost I felt for years. Moments
when, even just yesterday, I would ruin
soul with horrid heart strung emotions.
So grateful to the words, scriptures
that press my face forward. Push eyes closed
so a blank sheet can form across my
lids. A new beginning begging for the
leap. The hope that has been there from
day one.
Only now I have to grab hold of the
present and strive to achieve all that is
knocking at my door.
One day at a time. The reel that
is new yet still had an old charm.
Do I understand the differences
made? Yes. Edging closer and closer
to goals set.
Are you happy for me?
