Silence, forgiveness Jehovah taught me
Closing my eyes, tilt head to sky.
I feel the cold breeze warming my
spirit. Sensing the need to release
all tension currently building
within.
Take a walk with me. Feel the
air comfort nerves. Watch as
the breaths ease the soul. Hear
my prayer as I talk to you.
Once the legs strengthen
don't ask to rush. Absorb the beauty
given in the moment. All my mind
a completion.
Signals of contact. Nod to
acknowledge still not saying a word.
Notes, gestures I understand yet separated
from company.
I do enjoy the small talk but
walking in silence is more pleasing than
the first snowfall.
I sigh, opening my eyes. I hope one
day this dream of mine, will take place.
Oh how I remind: one step at a time.
One day my overwhelming, ever flowing
solace will be known, seen by all.
A shock to some, how forgiving I am.
Jehovah taught me this.
