Excitement when I see you again

  Sudden colors burst against
my mind. The rays of the warm
sun calming yet so overpowering.

  Step back. Arm slanted over eyes
to see better. One glimpse at a
time.

  Once you were a liar. Once I
was a believer in man. Once I took
up "chance" and "what ifs".

  Today I know, through Jehovah,
much has changed. Lives. Inward
and outer. Distance separated us.

  One day my face will light up
in hearing your voice. My arms will
reach far across, around your neck,
pulling you close. Oh how a memory
I will cherish. Excitement in hoping
that one day, this too, will be a reality.

  Transforming of years passed and
fixing a lost connection. One that
was deeply damaged. Who else but
Jehovah was that power?

  My mind, spirit rejoices in knowing,
with Jehovah, I will see the unseen.

   Looking forward to the learning
experience and the love I have missed from
you. Until then I remember smiles,
laughter and sincerity in actions.
