Hug inside storm

  A wheel that keeps spinning.
A ball of yarn unraveling. My mind
overpowers the aching I feel. The heart
stops the pangs long enough for a deep
exhale.

Oh stop the words from trickling
down. Stop the sweet echoing wind
from blowing. Stop the gasps of
hiccups from forming.

Oh hear the thoughts cease and
the tumbling end. The roar and
rain rumbling, pelting in a fury.

Ah soaking to skin and washing
away the hurt, the second chances
desired.

How nice is it to look up and
say I am me, unique.

  Form similar to millions
but still inside, one of a kind.

Still the memories have a way
of replaying. Odd moments to stand
motionless and breathe deep.

  Hold tight. Deserving a
hug inside the storm, do I not?
