Distant Reminders
I close my eyes and a million stars
are spinning. The tiniest of
specks we all are in the mountains
of landscapes .
A waver of a cry lingers as the
rain falls inside my mind. A slow
organization of collected memories
create a slotted time. A wall of
colorful words.
Though now my mind is fuzzy and
throbbing I find my stance hardened
by experience, by pain. Ah the smile
that still covers. Projecting a small
hidden doorway. A small few even
understand it exists.
Sadly the garden behind it is radiant.
Not fogged up by a lingering haze.
The vivacious energy of thriving
flowers, plants I find so
joyful. A bit of kindness that is
soothing, calming yet so encouraging.
My hope entertains a grand scale
but the happiness within me is
observed by only those who search
to know me.
Indeed kind words spread from
many but the depth of sincerity is
what anchors me. Indeed which
are you?
I cannot echo what is seen. I cannot
read if there is motive because I don't
see the understanding of your
heart and thoughts. I can only hope.
For me and my layers, that has to be
good enough.
So walk with me if you dare to want
to extend being my friend. Help me
remember those moments that slip
away like water in a river.
Yes slowly the days become confusing.
Will you then be happy to say you are
friends with me?
