Exhaustion

Exhaustion can come in many forms but for me, when I get hit, I fall. So many nerves pinched. So many bones cracking. Too many muscles contorted to unusual extensions.

Then there are the moments of rest where I find myself seated but so far away. The mind is reeling in another stage somewhere so far gone that sleep is knocking at my eyelids.

So I find my way down the hallway and tumble into my bed. Finding this calm and stretched soul, rest calls. Then the pinching,  the screaming and the plot of destruction unveils.

Slowly I make a nod of understanding that sleep must plow me over. For that is the only way my soul can relax enough to entertain complete rejuvenation of energy.

So now I nod to you as I strain my hip and burn my shin. Cautiously I try to extend my legs and wind down my redhead to the pillow. Drowning myself in the need of sleep.

So good night. Early and much needed.  One more day of work then spiritual food is given. In which I need to keep carrying on.
