Hope travels
So clear is the hope. Yet a sigh falls where pressure
demands a hello. Alas I just swat it away. Not focusing
on what is really hurting.
Oh a standing I must find, the courage I will
search for. Indeed a word, a phrase I command myself
to say. Even if it were all in vain at least I said it.
Travelled so far and yet did I go anywhere?
Not really just the changes. Though I want to know,
want to inquire. Oh how I freeze up.
Moving back. Holding, firmly, that I am not
any one person's need. Swallowing the lump in my
throat. Hoping the burn disappears for all it does
is damages.
Dare I speak? Dare I dream? Perhaps.
Though whether any one is listening, I don't bother
to check.
Saying a moment of peace as I gain some
bits of understanding. Not quite my own but I am
listening, learning. Ah indeed a lifetime to wait,
to make, mold and I am grateful for all that is
done so far.
A tickle of wind presses a gentle kiss against
copper and paleness. Indeed gravity pulls at salty
water. Playing a role indeed I am.
Solid standings. Firm goals. Dreams fade and
reality erodes. Yesterday is accessed through a
memory. A soft melody soothes in the background
and a kind word echoes laughter.
Indeed past pans as time is needed. Gently a
hushed hello finds hope. Indeed, yes, I hope.
Dare you ask you may receive.
