Speaks to your heart
I cannot express enough when you read the bible to find it in the language that speaks to your heart. I read it in English as well as Nepali but to watch it in sign language is the pieces that draws me closest.
I had forgotten just how much the scriptures in Job meant so much more to me when I saw it being read in American Sign Language. Not only is sign language a "language" but it is also that of facial expressions as well as soul movements. That is how my spirit listens.
How does your spirit listen to words?
That is truly something to meditate over. My mind kept saying you must read the bible, and as it is stated in Joshua 1:8 "read it in an undertone day and night, in order to obsesrve carefully all that is written in it, for they your way will be successful and then you will act wisely."
That is why I prayed to Jehovah about reaching my heart. Yes I have my study bible. In fact I am looking at it right now. Still to open it again, well, trial before triumph for sure.
And even as the night is turning into two a.m. I am still thinking, noises to help me focus. Still much more thoughts to encounter as the day unfolds. Certainly sleep is the more obvious necessity but you must understand the skipping joy to be had. Alas finding the words of Jehovah, God entering into your spirit is binding. Truly a magnificent experience.
So now I find the sign language jw app and download it. Reading, watching, listening to Isaiah 64:8. Reaching inside to the artist Jehovah made me. The words singing inside my spirit.
Indeed I cannot expect anyone to understand save Jehovah. That is all that is good to me.
So find yourself listening with your heart, your spirit and your mind. Pray and hope. As I do.
