Missing my sister
Echoes splash against hollow
rooms.
Dancing, twirling. Joy of
sisters laughing in a new home.
Memories create rainbows. Everchanging
colors sparkle.
Speckled greens and stormy blues.
So light yet strong, sturdy.
Longing to see you again.
A ticklefest. A joke, dry and sarcastic
but you. Oh how I miss.
My eyes blink back ripples
of droplets. I know you sleep. I know
someday I might see again. Make
the right choices, sister.
Small whisps of wind are words
of Jehovah knowing how much I hurt.
Will anyone know? Strong, cold I
stand. My foundation is firm, solid.
Reminders not to break it. Jehovah
sends the right people, right scriptures
to push, keep me from finding fault
if I allow tears to fall.
Thank you, Jehovah for reminding
me I am dust, not perfect.
