Words that define

                  Distance carried and no one was concerned
of the words that damaged. Careful you tread with
one foot here and the other across the threshold.

                  Decided was the life given. Never once
was the people involved. Sentenced to long term but
held apart. Dare you, I do, to separate your mind
from yesterday to tomorrow. Leaving the present
alone to run, walk or hope.

                 Oh the softest of memories crack. Finding
rivers divided. The streams, even, find a new
avenue to expand. All want to just keep us at bay,
in a stand off.

                  I grind my teeth as I try to define who
the crowd cannot explore. Deafening screams
are quaking throughout time and space. The
wood, scratched and altered, holds onto to one last,
damaged screen.

                 The shots vibrate throughout the mind.
SILENCE!  Oh how the gentle hush breaks the
tense air. The waves of patience find depth their
roots. Such a violent awakening but one that is
necessary.

                  Softly I tiptoe to the swaying music. The
warm kiss upon my forehead drags the burning
tears from my eyes. Shedding a grand amount of
weight. Ahh the sighs trace a jagged path across
my tightened lungs.

                   Defined, I am, by a firm molding. The
words just drip from my mind. Finding their voices
along lined, crisp white paper. Opening up one
meaning to thousands.

                    Dare you, I do, to explore the depths
of my mind, of me. Yes open the door to who I really
am.
